VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – SUMMER CLASSIC SHOW

Reining Alberta needs volunteers to help with the following positions at the Summer Classic Show, July 4 - 6, 2008. All of these postions MUST be filled prior to the Summer Classic. Please add your name to the list below at your preferred timeslot and email me (Libby Laycraft) back at libbysally@shaw.ca or phone me at 403 257-3885 with information on when you can help out. If you are not sure about your availability due to the show schedule, please contact me anyway and I will compile a list of people that can be called upon as backups.

Volunteer Day Coordinator is responsible for overseeing that everything runs smoothly at the gate or paid warm-ups. Posting the volunteer schedule in the barns, the warm-up arena and at the Show office (the schedule information will be provided). Need to be around the grounds and periodically check in with the show manager and make sure volunteer duties are covered. You may be asked to help out with the judges during meal times or breaks.

Timer Person is responsible for keeping track of the time during the paid warm-ups and announces when the time is up and the next rider can enter the pen. A list of of the paid warm-up schedule and a timer will be provided.

Gate Person is responsible for: making sure that the riders enter the arena in the correct order, they also let the next person know who is on deck. Lists of rider order will be provided each day.

Prize Coordinator is responsible for making sure prizes are displayed and presented at the end of each class. Need to work with the show manager in making sure the right prizes are presented at each class.
